Brisbane is on the east coast of Australia and is located on the banks of the Brisbane River.
Brisbane has a population of 0ver 2 million people who come from various ethnic backgrounds.
The climate in Brisbane can be rather warm and humid of a summertime, but the rest of the year it is very comfortable.
We had stroll around Southbank and checked out some of the lights to be seen at night.
The Wheel of Brisbane is “almost” 60 metres tall. It was opened in 2008.
You get a great view of the city and surrounding areas.
The Brisbane River has a very good ferry service that runs frequently and is a must for locals and tourists to have a “ride” on.
If you are into fine food there are heaps of great places on South Bank to eat. There is a train, bus and Taxi service there and it’s an easy walk accross the Victoria Bridge from the city.
Plenty of parking and the theme at South Bank is changed often.
Its close to the GOMA, SL and Art Gallery.
There is a Mall that runs through the centre of the city shopping area – the Mall is called the Queen Street Mall.
Talking of royalty – all the streets named after Kings run in one direction and all the streets named after Queens, run over the “king” streets, so its easy to find your way around.
Hope you have enjoyed looking at my photos and reading a little about beautiful Brisbane.
Suzi, says “Good Night” and enjoy South Bank and surroundings!
